Winning the Lottery

I appreciate the guest post, Jamie Guy

I just saw on the Pasedena direct tv news that some 70 year old woman just won 3.8 million dollars in the lottery. Can you imagine? She said she has worked hard her whole life as a single mother of 4 kids, often having to go without basic necessities. She said she hadn’t been to the dentist in 12 years because of not having money or dental insurance. When she was interviewed, and they asked her what she was going to do with all the money, she said the first thing she was going to do was go to the dentist! Bless her heart. I am glad that she won. She deserves it! She said the ticket was a gift from her grandson. How sweet! Now they are set for life, and all of their needs will be met. I was crying as I watched her speak. She was so grateful and said that after she takes care of her children and grandchildren, she will donate the money to the Food Bank that they used so many times.

Moving Company available in UK

My family are always moving state to states, country to country. One thing that I like to move is that I can gather stuff that I don't really needed. Well my husband called it junk stuff LOL.

I never been to UK before but moving to other country is pretty interesting. Next year, we are going to move from Japan to the states. There are many removal companies that you can find. Either you moved locally or internationally. I have few families live in the UK area and am not really sure if they have so many stuff to move out when they started to think to live in other country for good.

Mind you, moving is pretty stressful as well and or especially if we have little children. I remembered when we moved back in 2008 and my little girl was 18 months old. That time, movers were pretty considerate though

BOARDWALK EMPIRE

Thanks to Wm Rowe I’m glad that I got Clear TV deals because now I can watch a show that I was really missing out on. We saved enough money with our package that we could add HBO. The show that we had been missing was “Boardwalk Empire”. All of our friends and family rave about the show. It has also gotten a lot of great publicity. Martin Scorcese is the director and Mark Whalberg is also involved in the production. It has won a lot of Emmy awards and everyone that I know that has HBO loves to watch it. It is an HBO drama set in the 1920’s during prohibition. It basically highlights how bootleggers were bosses and how corrupt the political system was during the time of plenty. The costumes are amazing. I have always loved flapper style and flapper inspired things. It was just a time of run and relaxation. The set is also very realistic. It is really amazing. When you watch the shows, you really feel like you are in the 1920’s. I can’t wait until the next season!

Awards Season is around the corner

Written by my friend Betty Walls

Everyone knows that awards season kicks off starting in January and I for one am so excited for all of that to get started. My favorite awards to watch is of course the Academy Awards. I always wonder why they call them that but then they hand out Oscars. This one is my favorite because I can see which movies ove the past year I should be sure to not miss on DVD. A lot of the time I have already seen the movie because I am kind of a movie buff but sometimes I will miss a few and then be really excited to watch them once they have won an Oscar. My next favorite award show to watch is the Grammy Awards. This one is great because they always have so many amazing acts performing and I can pick out whose album I want to make sure to order on itunes. So this year make sure to go to your direct tv guide and check out when all of the award shows are happening this year so you can set your DVR!

Happy New Year Everyone

It had been lots of things happened in our 2011 adventure.

March 2011, the tsunamin and big eathquake while we are living in Japan. We were forced to leave where there is nothing to be worried. We went flying to the Philippines and people where saying that they wont reimburse our airfare if we wont go to the states.. We are supposed to attend my friend's wedding.

Then we had our AK cruise, twas awesome trip and while my husband had a business trip in Tenesse, we went there as well ... Lovely! busy trip.

The last thing, never expected to have a sad memory at the end of the year. Mama is gone Dec 9, 2011 at 215PM. I miss you Mama. So me and the kids were flying to the Philippines and stay there for 12 days. Too many things happened in our lives.

Involuntary Landlords

Posted by Gaylord Campbell

The current housing market has turned out to be both positive and negative for my husband and me. It’s positive because we were able to buy a much bigger house for our future family to have plenty of space. It’s negative because we weren’t able to sell the house we already owned. We then became “involuntary landlords,” which is evidently the term that’s been created to describe people who upgraded their houses but were forced to rent out their old houses. Unfortunately, it’s taken us longer than we’d hoped to find a renter, so we’re currently carrying two mortgages. This is a barrel of fun, let me tell you. It’s the most stressful thing we’ve ever had to face as a couple, and it’s caused its share of arguments, unfortunately. We have started to save money wherever we can to help offset the cost of maintaining both homes. One of the fastest and easiest ways we’ve found to save money is through our utilities. Since we’re having to heat and cool both homes (no one wants to walk through a potential rental when it’s freezing inside, after all), it’s getting expensive. Luckily, we called Green Mountain Electricity Information and were able to save a lot of money on our natural gas. Once we’re able to rent our old home we’ll be able to put that money to good use. For now, it’s just helping us pay the mortgages!

Perfume for a new fall season

Guest post written by Melissa Johnston

When the seasons change, one of the first things that I start worrying about is finding a new suitable perfume. I love all types of floral, but when the weather gets a bit colder outside you don't want to be stuck wearing a really summery smelling scent. Well, it's about that time again so I'm going to make sure that I find a new perfume that's perfect for the fall season.

I was looking online to see if I could find something that would be perfect for the changing seasons. While I was online searching, I ran across some info on Internet Providers. After I looked through that a little bit I decided to change over my home internet provider to one of the ones mentioned on the site.

I can't wait for it to get cooler outside. The summer has been so hot anyway and I think that a new perfume will be just the thing to put me in the mood for cool weather. Then before you know it, it will be the holiday season!

Proposal Over Food

My favorite restaurant has to be the Olive Garden. Now, most people talk about how much they love the food; sure, I love it too, but the food is not the only reason I love the place. This is a small story about the restaurant I love and why I always smile when I pass it by.

I was 21 and in love with this girl I had met through some acquaintances. Unfortunately for me, she was 18 at the time and was about to head off to college in another city. The night before she left, I set my home security alarm (adt Bristol packages) and headed out to pick her up. She had no idea where we were going, but I had the whole thing planned in my head.

We arrived at Olive Garden and were guided to our seats by the hostess whom I had already set my reservation with; in fact, the whole restaurant knew what was coming since I had contacted them earlier. Midway in the dinner, I gave the nod to the waiter and they sent a guitarist to our table. The other guests must have known what was about to happen because they were watching intently. Despite my nervousness, I proposed to her that night. Although she said yes, we didn't go through with it -- we were just too young.
